I met these two guys when walking around the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. I was there for sunset picture taking and usually prefer to do it on my own, not to be distracted by “tourist guides”. But Asif asked me where I’m from and could actually speak decent Czech. That surprised me a little. I explain to them that I like to do my photography on my own but we can meet up later for some chai. So, after walking through the fort and the mosque, I hooked up with them again and we went to a nearby restaurant called Cooco’s Den & Cafe. Later, I got a free tour of the Mosque (with few secrets being shown) and met up with few of their friends. They usually get together every evening at the mosque and hang out here. It was quite new to me that people visit mosques not only for prayers and schooling but also to just meet and relax… This was shot just before we parted ways in the Old City. A great example that sometimes people you might quickly dismiss turn out to be a quite great chaps and company;)
